After looking for a replacement TV for what seemed like years, we decided on the 37" Sharp Aquos. It was the only TV that offered the slim size that would fit in our entertainment unit. I was prepared to spend a long afternoon hooking up everything, i.e., Tivo, HD cable box, Wii, but it was a snap! Picture is great, but we did upgrade to HD cable box, which helps. Very simple, really happy.Customer Review: Forget all the jargon and tech garble, It looks Great.

I bought this t.v. back in 2006 for over $2000. Looking at it side by side with other flat screens in the majors stores (best buy/circuit city) it just blew the others away. Since owning i watched the prices drop like crazy, this one drop $500 dollars 6 months after i bought it.
Well with the price drops i started looking at picking up a second one for the bedroom. I didnt realize that many of the flat screens don't have that many inputs. For people like my brother who own every video game system known to man, having several inputs on a t.v. allows you to not have to keep plugging and unplugging cables (I currently have my dvd player, xbox and xbox 360 hooked up).
Theres cheaper flats screens and there's some that beat it on picture quality (more $$$) but this is a great value!!!

I bought this TV mostly because of its slim bezel for use in a bedroom. From what I understand, 1080p is not a factor in TVs under 42 inches, so you may find a cheaper TV with 720p. However, I have found the picture to be fantastic and the design very elegant. I had a problem with my Xbox 360 - during play, the screen would blackout and/or lose the signal for two to three seconds. This apparently is a known problem with Sharp D64U TVs when using component cables. I updated the firmware on the computer (using a download from Sharpusa.com, transfered via flash drive) and haven't had a problem since. Overall, I have found this TV to be more than satisfactory (four stars only for having to update the firmware). Customer Review: Love it

I had been exploring HDTVs for a while and even had Sharp send me their Aquos catalog. Interestingly enough, this was not in their catalog, which was probably outdated. I'm glad I waited. I had wanted one to which I could hook up my laptop and was 37" diagonal (I was limited by the size of the shelf on which I was to place the TV). I use it as my computer monitor much more than as a TV or play DVDs, which I do occasionally, so, yes, it has become mainly an expensive computer monitor. As a large screen computer monitor, it's incredible. Coupled with a wireless keyboard, this is heaven. That said, the picture quality has been very good, but since I have nothing else with which to compare, I can't tell if it's superior to other brands (it looks great when I go to the store and compare picture quality). The sound quality has been quite remarkable, especially with the audio setting from my DVD player. I have all my CDs ripped to my laptop, and I have not discerned any particular flaw in the sound quality when I play my music (the speakers have been an issue in some reviews I've read). It's a sleek-looking piece of electronics, but it's not the slimmest on the market (definitely slimmer than the HDTVs my friends have, so I have some boasting rights). Overall, I love it, except that the price went down after I had purchased it. In addition, it arrived as promised, albeit at the end of the delivery window. The guy from CEVA even waited for me to plug everything in and then placed it on the shelf for me. Having read some negative reviews about CEVA, I was a little apprehensive, but the delivery guy restored my faith.
