Customer Review: Very Cool Neon Blue!

This is a very modern looking (vivid blue LED) yet very basic smallish alarm clock. It has a fairly long electric cord. The alarm is loud enough to wake all but the real hard of hearing. There is a snooze button that adds 9 minutes to your sleep time and can repeat for a full hour. It's very simple to set both the time and the alarm. It's a very accurate digital clock as you might expect.Here is how I feel that it could be improved:
1) I wish it were battery operated. The cord kind of spoils it for me. There is also no battery back up in the event of a power outage, although it is easy to reset.
2) A dual alarm feature would be nice.
3) A date and day display option might be helpful.
4) The base could be more weighted to prevent accidentally tipping it over.
5) There is a three-way switch in the back (Time - Run - Alarm) that is a bit flimsy. I hope it doesn't wear out.
6) The beautiful blue LED display may be too bright for some people, and if it had a way to dim the display that would be a benefit for some.
Overall, I think this clock is like a neon sign. If you can find a place to plug it in, you can use it as an ordinary clock or even as a night light. The kitchen, bathroom, really anywhere would make a great place to plug this clock in.
Sharp, please make a version of this that runs on batteries!
Anyway, at this low price point, I still recommend this clock.
